Halloween Sale plus new Sweet Pea Stamps

Welcome back to Stamp and Create!

It's been an unusually busy week for me with family stuff and doctor's appointments. Plus the kids have off school a little this week. So please bear with me if it's taking longer than normal to respond to emails.

In fact, I have a huge pile of new Sweet Pea Stamps sitting on my dining room table that I haven't been able to find the time to load to the store!! I have loaded half of them and hope to get the rest of them done this morning.
They now have a few new artists including this one from Meredith Dillman...

I also want to remind you of the Halloween Sale that is still going on this week.
Remember that many of these images will not be restocked if they are specific to Halloween.

I have just reduced some of the images as well!!
So there is even more savings!!

Vicky created this beautiful card to showcase another one of the images that are great for Halloween..
She used Playing with Stars by Elaine Cox for sweetpea stamps and coloured her in distressed inks. Then used Basic Grey Pyrus paper, gold ribbon tied using bow easy, the punch is Martha stewart, diamond stickles have been added to the flowers and gold gems have been swirled to finish the card off.

Today is also a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge. And we are so happy to announce that we have opened up the challenges to ANY stamp company!!
You no longer have to use a WnW image on your challenge card! But if you do, you will be entered into a special drawing for a free digital stamp!!

This week's challenge is "Black and White" (or Sepia). Here is my card...

Make sure to check out the Challenge blog for details on this week's challenge and the new rules.
You can find details on my card on my blog.

Don't forget that Monday is the last day to enter the Monthly Challenge: Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Happy Stamping and Shopping!!
And Happy Halloween!

Easel Box Card Tutorial by Vicky

Vicky made this wonderful tutorial for us using a different version of the easel card she made here. I love this one is big enough to hold a CD!! It would make a great gift!
She used Sarah Kay image called Noel Eve by Stampavie.

Now here is Vicky...

I was asked by Lacey to do a tutorial on how i made my easel box card. I hope this is easy to understand, any queries please message me at angeldrummer@hotmail.co.uk

Materials needed -

4 6"x6" paper
4 A4 peices of card
Coloured image and backing papers
Nesties to cut out image and any embellishments you want to use
8 brads
glue
glue tape

First we make the box itself.

With a scoring board score your card at 1" 7" and 8" this will give you a 6"x6" box which holds a cd beautifully.

Do this twice and cut out.

cut the tabs as above on one of the card pieces

put in a base sheet out of your 4 I have edged mine with green distressed ink.

With the second piece cut the tabs as above

Use the glue tape on the one edge and glue this to the constructed base, it was hard to take a photo of this but you position it against the inside of the other box, to form a solid cube.

Take a second piece of your paper and cut 4 strips 2cm by 14.5cm and I then edged them in distressed ink. I then marked them a cm in at each end.

I then added them to the outside of the box on all sides and added the brads to give extra strength on the joints.

I then made the top fold of the easel card. The base is 6"x 6", and I have added the 3rd sheet of paper. Add any ribbon etc you want to tuck under now. Glue this to the top of the box. Then add the final piece of the card, a single sheet of card cut 6" x 6" on which you have decorated with your image and papers, and then stick this sheet to the folded over tab you can see on the above picture.

I hope this has made sense.
If you decide to make one, send us a link so we can check it out!!

Wee Ones Product Spotlight Sale

Welcome back to Stamp and Create!
Today is a Postal Holiday so all weekend orders will ship out tomorrow since they are closed today.

We have another new Product Spotlight today as well as a few new products.

First off, the Whiff of Joy Holiday Order arrived over the weekend.
So many gorgeous and fun Holiday images.

Also, I found a few extra Stampavie Christmas stamps and added those to the store as well. So all images from that release are now back in stock.

There are also quite a few of the Tina Winke Limited edition Halloween images still in stock. Grab them while you can....because they can not be reordered!
Now it's time for the new Product Spotlight.
This week,
all Wags 'n Whiskers "Wee Ones" at Stamp and Create will be
on sale up to 40% off!!
Yep, that's right....up to 40% off!!

The awesome design team has created some wonderful samples to share this week using these adorable images.

I wanted to show how versatile these images are for all occasions. So I used "Hey Grandma" as a Christmas card. The inside of the card says "I've been good! Honest!!"

Chris created a Christmas card using Best Friend's Forever from the Wags n Whiskers Wee Ones line. The designer paper is Basic Grey Jovial. She also used red silk ribbon from May Arts, the bow easy, Kaiser Craft Snow white pearls, a teddy bear charm, bead circle nestabilities, and standard circle nestabilities.

Vicky has used Tiny Dancer to create a card for a blind child. She has cut around the image and raised it using pads so that the child can trace the shape of the image. The large ribbon is gingham and is nice and large to feel. The circles have been cut using circular Nesties. A little flower charm sits amoungst the flowers and light blue pearls spell out the childs name in Braille at the top of the card.

Jeanette used the very sweet Bedtime Story Image for her card. The image is colored with copic markers that match the colors from Kaiser Crafts Hippy Girl collection. The scallop shape that runs along the side of her card is a die shape that is part of the paper pack. How cool is that? She also used American crafts mini brads and some gorgeous Prima flowers.

Joy
Joy used Water Babe from the Wee Ones line. She also used the Kaiser Craft DP called La Di Da and Lilac Avenue and added some very pretty red silk ribbon with bling and used her big scalloped oval nesties...small and large. She finished it off with a pretty red rose.

Don't forget about the Monthly Challenge:

Happy stamping and shopping!!

Challenge #6 - Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Welcome back to Stamp and Create!
This is the 2nd post today, so make sure to check out the Product Update post below...

It's time for a new Stamp and Create Monthly Challenge!!
I will be back shortly with the winner of the last challenge and the top 3.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everywhere you look, there is pink!! And it is no exception here as well!
The challenge for this month is:
Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness (or an encouraging card).

If you don't want to make a breast cancer card, you can just make some sort of encouraging card (thinking of you, praying for you, way to go, etc...). But if you can add some pink, that would be great.

My neighbor is currently battling breast cancer. Actually, she seems to be doing quite well considering. She has completed chemo, a double mastectomy, and is almost done with radiation. However, since she tested positive for the BRCA gene, she has a greater risk for Ovarian cancer. Therefore, she is scheduled for a full hysterectomy in November. When that is done, she will have reconstruction surgery to complete the mastectomy. Basically, she is only half way through this LONG journey.

So, if you would like to send her your card, it would be greatly appreciated!! A few of the DT said they will send her a card. I know she would appreciate it.
Email me at LaceySoLiving@bellsouth.net and I will give you my address
(I will collect them all and give them to her).

Here are the awesome Design Team samples
(using the Product Spotlight images - Fairies and Angels)...

Joy used Flutter Anya from TGF...She decided to make a purse for this special occasion. October is breast cancer awareness month and so with that she colored her in pink and even used a pink ribbon symbol, bling and glitter. She used her top notes die to create the bag and the pretty circus polka dot ribbon for the handle.

Heidi made a card using Melinda Blowing Kisses for someone battling Breast Cancer. She used Basic Grey Olivia Paper, Kaiser Craft Snow Pearls, May Arts White Wrinkled Ribbon, May Arts Pink Crochet Ribbon, Prima Fairy Tale Pink Roses, and a card made by Heidi would not be complete without a Heart Charm!

She used the Say a Prayer Image from Wags n Whiskers and the coaster board label mini album available in the store to create it. She also used Green at heart and Indian Summer from Basic Grey, and Pink Silk ribbon. The inside includes comforting verses.

Jeanette used Whiff of Joy's Melinda Helping Angel to remind us that sometimes it is the gift of the small things that we do that can make a big difference in someone's life when they are battling breast cancer.
The paper is Basic Grey Bittersweet and the button is also Basic Grey.

(with an early sneak peek of the Wags 'n Whiskers release on friday)
This fairy is Iris from the upcoming Wags 'n Whiskers Fairy 2 release!!

Now it's your turn!!
This challenge is open through 12:00 noon, Sunday October 31
